Food Network Star Season 7-A Cool “Season” for Hot Summers Tips

Food Network Star returns in June and there will be exciting guest stars on the new food network stars show. Mary Beth Albright, Justin Balmes, Whitney Chen, Katy Clark, Peny Davidi, Justin Davis, Howie Drummond, Jyll Everman, Susie Jimenez, Juba Kali, Jeff Mauro, Vic “Vegas” Moea, Chris Nirshel, Orchid Paulmeire, and Alicia Sanchez are 15 finalists of Food Network Star Season 7. Food Network Star is produced by CBS Eye Too Productions
Episode 1-5
15 finalists will meet in Los Angeles at Grauman’s Chinese Theater; Bobby Flay will challenge the finalists to cook a dish that could represent their personal cooking style. In the 2nd Episode rest 14 contestants will face a pizza challenge, this stage will surprisingly eliminate one contestant and rest 13 will have to cook dishes which are people usually cook in routine. In 3rd Episode, the 12 finalist will make dinner by using the Hershey’s Product and then winner of season 5 will challenge the 11 contestants to prepare a bouche by using Kellogg’s cereals in 45 mins. In 5th episode all the 10 contestants will have to prove that they can cook as well as entertain people.

Episode 6-10
Tyler Florence will divide the 9 contestants in three groups in 6th episode, and will challenge them to create a superb and unique menu for lunch truck and sell to consumers. 7th will be double elimination episode, finalist have to prepare a signature dish. In the 8th episode, remaining 6 finalists will meet the Ina Garten and Bobby Flay in Newyork where they will be challenged to prepare a unique cupcake that better match their personalities. 5 finalist will search the “Best thing I ever eat” from the stores of Chelsea Market in Newyork. Two finalists in 10th episode will prepare dishes with secret ingredients and other two will act as commentators.
Final Episode
In the final episode of season 7 all the 3 finalist will prepare the best dishes and will present before the selection committee. Only two finalists will get a chance to move to next stage and photo of winner will be displayed on Food Network Wall of fame and will be named as Food Network Star.

A research of Kent State University published in the Journal of Surgery for Obesity and Related Diseases says that weight loss is not only beneficial for health but it also sharpens the memory of an individual.
John Gunstad, an Assistant Professor of Psychology who is also a lead author of the study says that weight loss can improve the attentiveness and the cognitive abilities. Obesity can also cause diseases like Alzheimer, Stroke, Memory Problems and Concentration Problems etc.

Gunstad worked on the fact that if excess weight causes these problems, can losing weight help to prevent the problems.
The researchers did an analysis in which they analyzed memory of 150 overweight people having weight of 300 pounds. Every member was given mental tasks for testing the abilities and attention of individuals. Some individuals went for Gastric Bypass Surgery for weight loss and some did not. After 12 weeks the mental skills were tested again.
After the weight loss surgery, 23.9% of participants showed good learning and 22.9% showed poor memory. 12 weeks after the surgery the participants who underwent surgery shows improvement in the cognitive skills as compare to those participants who do not went for Gastric Bypass Surgery, no improvements were seen in their cognitive skills rather decline in their cognitive skills was seen.
Gunstad says that it was interesting to see the motivation of those patients who lose weight in a short time and revealed a positive effect from weight loss which was great.
Gunstad says that the result of this study give rise to many other questions regarding obesity and Brain damage that needs an attention. He further says that if we come to know about the causes of memory problems and surgery to make memory better then we can understand the link between obesity and Alzheimer’s disease, Stroke etc.
Gunsatd and other researchers are now planning to study the lose weight by eating less and healthier food to get more active. The researcher wants to know that the diet and exercise also give similar positive effects on Brain or not.
