
This colorless and odorless drug is consumed orally and it relates to amphetamines. If it is used continuously, it can badly affect central nervous system. After its use, the abuser often feels a boost in confidence and energies and abusers’ ecstatic feelings lead them to hallucination.
Ecstasy is not an old drug, as it was invented in the 1990’s and currently there are not sufficient information available about its effects, but the results of a study from the National Institute on drug Abuse show that the drug can prove dangerous for nerve endings that are related to cognition and memory. Similarly, it hampers the production of serotonin in the brain.
Ecstasy is available in pills that are different in potency and because of this many users are not able to find how much quantity of the drug they have taken.
High blood pressure, heart rates, tension, mood swings, extreme alertness, memory decline, slurred speech, excessive sweetening, agitation, dry mouth and poor academic performance may serve as some signs of ecstasy abuse.
